My grandmother suggested I become a journalist before I even started grade school. She identified my interests in curious listening, investigating and advocating for change. The next day I began interviewing adults in my neighbourhood, learning about their lives and asking a lot of why questions. I quickly learned that I enjoyed exploring the lives and ways of being of individuals so I decided to focus on the next best thing – Therapist!
This very early interest of mine lead me to spending a few decades studying the evolving counselling profession, training in clinical and community settings and gaining valuable experience. My goal has always been to learn from each client while bring the best of what I have to helping them reach their own goals.
